if you ever drop something important down the sink, let me know and i'll guide you through the process of retrieving said thing. don't waste your money on a plumber.
so at work today i was doing the dishes and i took apart the espresso machine to clean it (like i've done thousands of times) and during the process of cleaning, i dropped a little (very important) screw down the drain. what was i to do? calling the manager was obviously not an option, so i squatted down to take a look. couldn't be that hard. well i twisted this and that and then called my plumber friend who talked me through the process. we hung up and i got down to it. i finally got the pipes apart and came to a realization that pipes are pretty much the most disgusting thing i've ever worked with. changing kids diapers is no problem compared to the wretchedness that was inside these pipes. blech. so i found the screw. and with my hands covered in disgusting sludge and hair and coffee grinds, i put the pipes back together. and washed up. and then realized that there was a pair of rubber gloves staring me in the face the entire time.

so i had the privilege of taking photos for my friends' wedding today... besides almost puking this morning (due to sickness, not nerves), things went well.

boating.

i surfed behind a boat today. it was great fun. it took me a couple tries to get up though... having never wakeboarded, i didn't have the 'technique' down... but i did manage to get up and i even stayed up for awhile. i enjoy water sports.

movie night.

if you haven't yet seen 'little miss sunshine', go. now.
i haven't laughed that hard at a movie in a very long time.
i've noticed that i often end up bringing themed snacks to movies in the theatre. for charlie and the chocolate factory it was blueberries (re violet), and now for this one i brought a happy face purdy's chocolate sucker (little miss sunshine... and in the movie the girl does a puzzle of a happy face). funny.
oh and if you are going to a theatre a ways away, make sure you fill up on gas before you go... calling your parents at 11:30 because you ran out of gas on the freeway, is not the most amazing experience i've ever had.
but here's to adventure.

movies on the telly

i own a fair number of movies. most of the time i don't feel like watching any of them cause i've seen them all before. however, shall it happen to appear on tv, i'll jump at the chance to watch it... odd no?
this has happened to me a number of times. why is that? i can watch them anytime i please.
oh it must be the commercials... they keep me in suspense.
