my thumbs.

today was a good day. a friend came to visit whom i haven't seen in a while cause she got married and moved away... we went and had a bbq at the beach with our young adults group... where i was put in charge of cutting up carrots without a cutting board, so i was doing it all in my hand... and inevitably sliced my thumb. and it hurts. then while we were playing frisbee, i somehow managed to pull a muscle in my other thumb. which is now turning a lovely purple colour. i'm good. then i went to work for 3 hours and laughed my ass off with 2 funny co-workers. then came home and watched a movie with some other friends. now i believe i'm going to watch a little scrubs before i have to take the disc back tomorrow. here i come zach.

today.

so i went for a walk this morning expecting to return within the hour... but then as i was passing a friends' house, i decided to stop in and i ended up haning out there all day. it was great. we sat outside for a while in the beautiful sun. then we went and bought some pineapples at superstore... yum.
so we then decided to watch a movie and let me tell you, lindsay lohan cannot make movies. just my luck was terrible. not that i was expecting it to be good, but it really was terrible. to make matters worse, as we were watching the movie, we were eating this sweet mix of skippy peanut butter and chocolate (straight from china) on crackers and while doing so i ate a toenail.
yep. a toenail. there was a pile of clippings on the table (not from my friend) that neither of us noticed, and somehow i ended up with one in my mouth. oh i could have puked.
after the movie we had a great meal of lots of yummy vegetables grilled on the bbq, and grabbed some spoons and walked down the street to the video store, where i work, and we sat and ate some ben and jerry's. the end.

sunday

i was at the communion cup with my bread and slowly i dipped my bread into the juice. then my arm spasmed. and i dunked the bread completly into the cup. as i took it out and turned it upright, juice rolled down my fingers, all over my hand, pooling in my palm.
my hand was covered with christ's blood.
i've been thinking about this for the last couple days... thinking about how it's so true. my hands are covered in christ's blood. i'm responsible for his being on that cross and every day with my selfishness and my pride etc i'm just adding to the burdens he carried there.
yet inspite of this, he still loves me and shows me grace and mercy, showering me with blessings every day.

OCTOBER IS A GREAT MONTH!!!

well. every year october is a good month because it is the month of my birthday. this year however it's shaping up to be a great month. here's why:

1. I'm going to see SUFJAN STEVENS in SEATTLE!
2. I'm going to JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT!

and it's my birthday. so, if you feel like adding to my excitment of october, i'm open to suggestions.
